Summary

Scientific and pedagogical workers’ activity has a number of specific features that predetermine constant scientific know ledge deepening, active participation in the development of scientific thought and scientific and practical discourse, improvement of their professional skills and mastering innovative tools of work with students. Scientific and pedagogical workers’ advanced training is a legally provided right, but the mechanisms for ensuring the guarantee of its implementation in practice need to be completed.

The article deals with the forms of scientific and pedagogical workers’ advanced training according to the legislation of Ukraine. On the basis of analysis of normative legal acts and scientific papers devoted to the investigated issue, the aspects that need further elaborating at the legislative level are identified and the approaches for improving the regulation of the process of scientific and pedagogical workers’ advanced training according to European standards are proposed.

Finding ways to expand opportunities and use the maximum amount of resources to scientific and pedagogical workers’ advanced training in Ukraine is not only a guarantee for scientific thought development, but also the level of country development as a whole, because the level of country development and its economic competitiveness depends on the quality of human resources.

The purpose of the article is to find the ways to improve the forms of scientific and pedagogical workers’ advanced training in Ukraine on the basis of analysis of national legislation, international acts and scientific papers. Taking into account that scientific and pedagogical workers’ advanced training should correspond to the most progressive tendencies, the article proposes to ensure its passing with the use of information and communication technologies, since such a method is progressive and complex and does not require additional expenses.
